The Rest in Piece 500 series is a swivel top steady rest that combines some of the best features of the full wrap and pass thru styles. The photo shows a steady rest designed for a flatbed manual lathe but can be designed to fit applications for slant bed lathes. Unlike the full wrap that hinges open, the R.I.P. Series 500 swivels out of the way. This is a safety improvement that makes closing and opening easier for operators.
